Recipe: Iced Adaptogenic Cacao

For chilled-out bliss — An herbal elixir featuring Ceremonial Cacao and Adaptogens served over ice.


Though its common to drink warm cacao, Cacao can be enjoyed over ice or blended into a decadent smoothie on hot days.

Not only does this elixir taste astounding and boost your mood, but it also nourishes your body from the inside out.


Cacao can replenish essential minerals that are lost when sweating or not sleeping well in the heat. The natural energy boost helps with the summer slump and lethargy to keep your body/energy moving. It's also high in antioxidants that builds immunity and resiliency.

Adaptogens are natural substances known for their ability to promote balance within the body, reducing the negative effects of stress and enhancing overall resilience.


One of our favorite adaptogenic herbs- Tulsi (Holy Basil), is a cooling herb that helps your body adapt to stress and fights fatigue from the heat. It has the taste of clove with hints of coffee and chocolate which pairs well with Cacao and Cinnamon.

ICED ADAPTOGENIC CACAO

Ingredients:

6 OZ TULSI TEA

2 OZ ALMOND MILK

6-9 CACAO PIECES (APPROX. 20G-28G.)

DASH OF CINNAMON

DASH OF CARDAMOM

DASH OF CELTIC OR HIMALAYAN SEA SALT

SCOOP OF VANILLA COLLAGEN (OPTIONAL)

1 TBSP RAW HONEY

Instructions:

BREW TULSI TEA (LOOSE LEAF OR TEA BAG). STRAIN TEA AND LET COOL. ADD TO BLENDER WITH ALL INGREDIENTS AND BLEND ON HIGH FOR 20 SECONDS. POUR OVER ICE.
