SEDONA: SACRED LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
The aura of Sedona calls all those who yearn to connect with something greater than themselves, to walk barefoot on the earth and feel the heartbeat of the ancient mother beneath their feet. One can't help but feel a deep sense of reverence for this sacred land, where the veil thins between the mundane and the mystical. It is a place swirling of spiritual and cosmic energy, where these mystical vortexes serve as powerful gateways to self-discovery and profound healing.
The land was originally inhabited by the Sinagua tribe, and today, Native American tribes active in the area include the Hopi, Navajo, Tonto Apaches and Yavapai. We acknowledge the original ones and wisdom keepers of these ancient lands. We give our gratitude for the opportunity to experience the power of these red rocks, to pray and walk gently on these lands.
Something special about this retreat is that we did not go seeking to do a retreat here! We were invited—through dear friend, Julia, who’s special soul will be present on the retreat and is connected to the guardian of the property in Page Springs. Upon invitation, Angel went to the land, made offerings and listened to the nature spirit there before hearing the YES to have this retreat here.
